Forgotten your Unlock Pattern or Password Here is a Guide for you. img
Most smartphones, most especially touchscreen models come with basically two modes of security which are pattern and password. However, the newer versions come equipped with fingerprint hardware as added security. Android users tend to forget their password or unlock patterns at times.
The increased occurrences of fraudulent activities have made the issue of mobile phone security important, because without a password or unlock pattern someone can gain access to your stored data with ease which can be dangerous.
It’s funny to me at times, because in an attempt to shout out intruders from accessing your vital information, you ended up denying yourself access also. This article contains methods you could use to regain control or to access your phone. Don’t panic we’ve got you covered. Read on, and you will find out how to unlock your phone with ease. Below are the steps to follow.

Method One

Unlocking your Phone with the use of your Google Account

After hours of failed attempts, it’s high time we opted in for a different method. On your screen you can see two option “try again” and “proceed,” or on some models, you can find the forget password option.
1. Click the “forget password” option to proceed to Google email unlock
2. To proceed to the next step, you will have to enter your username and password; the one linked to the phone you are about to unlock. Then click “Sign In.”
3. After a successful login, you will be required to enter a new pattern after which you can use it to log in. As simple that.
Remember: the above method will only work if your device's data connection is enabled. In case your data connection was switched off before the occurrence, then this method will not work for you. Use the below method instead.

Method Two

This method should be your last resort in case your internet connection is off. In this method, you are required to perform a total factory reset of your phone. It restores your phone to the manufacturer's default setting, implying that you will lose all applications and stored data.
Follow the below steps accordingly
1. Power off your android smartphone with a long press of your power button.
2. Hold the combination of volume up + Home Key or Middle Key + Power Button or Volume up Key + Power Key. The combination depends on your smartphone model/brand. Hold this button combinations until the device boots.
3. Your phone will display some set of options; that might be your first time of seeing such options on your phone. With the use of your volume up and down you can navigate your way through the options and select the appropriate one. For this tutorials, you should choose “Factory Reset” or “delete all user data” use either the Home button or power button to confirm the selection.
4. You can now reboot the phone after performing the above step correctly. This time, your phone will boot with no password or pattern request.

Hint:

I. Always set a password or pattern you can easily remember but difficult for an intruder to guess.
II. Ensure you back up your files to your PC or using a trusted cloud service. This way you can avoid losing data when your phone in case of next time.

I hope this helped? You can comment below in case you have other better methods of doing the above. Don’t forget to share.
