Method One
Unlocking your Phone with the use of your Google Account
After hours of failed attempts, it’s high time we opted in for a different method. On your screen you can see two option “try again” and “proceed,” or on some models, you can find the forget password option.
1. Click the “forget password” option to proceed to Google email unlock
2. To proceed to the next step, you will have to enter your username and password; the one linked to the phone you are about to unlock. Then click “Sign In.”
3. After a successful login, you will be required to enter a new pattern after which you can use it to log in. As simple that.
Remember: the above method will only work if your device's data connection is enabled. In case your data connection was switched off before the occurrence, then this method will not work for you. Use the below method instead.
Method Two
This method should be your last resort in case your internet connection is off. In this method, you are required to perform a total factory reset of your phone. It restores your phone to the manufacturer's default setting, implying that you will lose all applications and stored data.
Follow the below steps accordingly
1. Power off your android smartphone with a long press of your power button.
2. Hold the combination of volume up + Home Key or Middle Key + Power Button or Volume up Key + Power Key. The combination depends on your smartphone model/brand. Hold this button combinations until the device boots.
3. Your phone will display some set of options; that might be your first time of seeing such options on your phone. With the use of your volume up and down you can navigate your way through the options and select the appropriate one. For this tutorials, you should choose “Factory Reset” or “delete all user data” use either the Home button or power button to confirm the selection.
4. You can now reboot the phone after performing the above step correctly. This time, your phone will boot with no password or pattern request.
